SPECIFICATIONS

SGC RC Piles are designed to BS 8004:1986 / MS 1314:2004 & JKR Standard Design.

CONSTITUENT MATERIALS
a) Cement BS 12:1996 / MS 522 Ordinary Porland Cement
b) Aggregates BS 822:1992 / MS 29 Max size of Agg to be 20mm
c) Admixture BS 5075.3:1985 / MS 922 Superplasticizer
d) Steel Reinforcement BS 4449:1997 & BS 4461:1978 / MS 144 & MS 146 Longitudinal Reinforcement Base & Lateral Reinforcement
e) Mild Steel Plate BS EN 10025:1993 End Plate

Characteristic strength of concrete for all piles to be Grade 45 (Grade 60 Concrete upon request)


PILES WORKING LOADS

SGC RC Square Piles maximum axial working loads are calculated according to BS 8004:1986

Maximum Axial Working Load = fcu/3.65 Ac + Fsc Asc

Where feu = characteristic cube strength of concrete at 28 days
= 45 N/mm²
Ac  = area of concrete
fsc = 175 N/mm² for high yield reinforcement
Asc = cross sectional area of longitudinal steel
